Beach Style Guide

You did it, you book your family beach photos! But now you have to figure out what everyone is going to wear. Don’t worry, I’m here to help. Below is an amazing guide to help you with colors, textures and how to coordinate your family’s outfits to get the best out of your photos.

Coordinate Your Colors

Try to select 2 to 3 complimentary colors that work well in the same color palette. For instance, blue and sea tones work well together. Someone can wear light blue, dark blue and then white or seafoam. Also, neutrals and softer tones work well at the beach.

Solids & Patterns

Try to only have 1 person in a pattern and the rest solids to not overwhelm your photos. I suggest mom or daughter wear a pattern and then everyone else easy solids to coordinate. Or everyone can be in solids and maybe mom and/or daughter wear flowy material to add texture.

Comfort

Of course you want to look your best, but you also don’t want to feel stiff and uncomfortable. Always select something that makes you feel your best self. That could be a flowy dress, jeans or linen shorts.

Maybe Not

I don’t recommend brand logos, graphic tees or bright neon colors. Stick to light, breathable fabrics and flowy textures to match the setting of your photos.
